This tea is an Earl Grey type with a fresher citrus twist. The tea is made on a base of the mild Chinese black tea Keemun, which makes the tea mild with a round feel. Keemun is infused with flavours of lemon, orange, grapefruit and bergamot. Pouchkine will be a fresher alternative to the classic Earl Grey.
Earl Grey tea is named after British Prime Minister Earl Grey of Howick Hall. He took the recipe with him back to England, and the tea is today the most widespread tea in the world.
In addition, the tea has a low content of tannic acid.
