Organic Travancore BOP

In southern India, James Finley and Co. succeeded in establishing plantations in the mountain range called the Blue Mountains in 1840. This areas are called Nilgiri and Travancore. At an altitude of about 2000 meters, two kinds of teas are grown, both of which have a strong, slightly pungent taste. This Travancore is no exception. With its strong taste, it is – like the Assam teas – good in stronger blends and with milk. In this organic Travancore Broken Orange Pekoe, you get a thick and full-bodied cup with a strong aftertaste. Profile: Travancore has a uniform, vigorous quality consisting of leaves from lower plant shoots. This tea has an exciting and full-bodied bouquet with notes of nutty and smoke with an underlying sweetness that emerges with the addition of milk. Recommended preparation: 100°C water/6 g. per liter water. Steeping time: 5 minutes* *We recommend a longer steeping time if you want to add milk.
