Organic Bangladesh
€9.86 per 100 g.
For many years, Bangladesh has had a fairly large production of tea. The proximity to Assam has led to the use of the classic English production methods. The tea tradition in Bangladesh dates back to 1840, when the British East Indian Company started production in Chittagong. The tea is harvested from April to September. Unfortunately, the climate is often harsh for the tea bushes, as large amounts of rain and flooding make growing them difficult. This organic Bangladesh tea is slightly milder than the classic Breakfast teas, Assam and Ceylon, but still with a good body. Profile: Organic Bangladesh consists of medium-sized, dark leaves of a good quality. Shipments may vary regarding the amount of “tips” present in the tea. The tea has a refined, soft and full-bodied bouquet with notes of malt and spicy sweetness. This tea is milder than morning tea. Recommended preparation: 100°C water/6 g. per liter water. Time: 6 minutes.
