Matcha is Green Japanese tea. Back in the days Matcha was made from the best top shots from the Gyokuro tea leaves. Today, Matcha is usually produced by Tencha.
The leaves are steamed and pulverized into Matcha powder. Matcha is particularly used at Japanese tea-ceremonies which are closely linked to the Zen Buddhist ethics.
Place the matcha powder in a bowl and then add hot water. Then beat the tee and water until the mass foams, after which your Matcha is ready to serve. We recommend using spring water for Matcha.
