Irish morning tea
€7.83 per 100 g.
Irish Morning Tea is a powerful blend of Assam Travancore. Ireland has the highest per capita consumption of tea in the world. The yearly consumption is over 3 kg. per citizen However, it should also be mentioned that they use more tea for a pot than usual to get the strong and full-bodied Irish Morning Tea. There are many different blends, but a blend of Assam and Travancore produces exactly the type of tea that the Irish are so fond of. We recommend milk for this tea. Profile of Assam FTGBOP: A classic small-leafed, powerful tea with golden “tips” in between the dark leaves. The taste of Assam is full-bodied, strong and malty with a slightly sweet note, which is especially present if you add milk. The tea contains a lot of tannic acid and can therefore appear dry if enjoyed without milk. Profile of Travancore BOP Organic: Travancore has a consistent, vigorous quality consisting of leaves from lower plant shoots. This tea has an exciting and full-bodied bouquet with notes of nutty and smoke with an underlying sweetness that emerges with the addition of milk. Recommended preparation: 100°C water/6 g. per liter water. Steeping time: 5 minutes* *We recommend a longer steeping time if you want to add milk.
