This version of Earl Grey is more intense and fresh in both taste and aroma. The base of French Earl Grey is organic Ceylon OP, a stronger alternative to the mild Keemun used in our classic Earl Grey. With fresh bergamot aroma and delicate blue cornflowers, this tea is both flavorful and aesthetically pleasing, offering great depth and natural sweetness.
Earl Grey is named after the British Prime Minister Earl Grey of Howick Hall. According to legend, during a journey to China, Earl Grey saved the life of a mandarin, who in gratitude gifted him the recipe for a delicate bergamot-infused tea. He brought it back to England, and today, Earl Grey is one of the most popular teas in the world.
Recommended preparation: 100°C water / 6 g per liter of water.
Steeping time: 6 minutes.
