Organic Assam CTC Typhoo
€7.02 per 100 g.
If you prefer milk in your tea, Organic Assam CTC is a great suggestion. CTC stands for crushing, tearing, curling. This production method is used especially for strong lowland varieties, and it ensures a very uniform and fine-leaved result. With the CTC method, the end result is very strong and fine-leafed teas such as Pekoe Fanning or Dust.
The English call these powerful milk teas Typhoo Teas. This tea is reminiscent of the classic Kenya CTC PF, but is more malty in taste.
Profile: A very small-leafed tea that gives a strong taste, with notes of malt and sweetness. This tea will also be described as spicy and very dry, due to a high tannic acid content.
Recommended preparation: 100°C water/6 g. per liter water.
Pulling time: 5 minutes*
*We recommend a longer steeping time if you want to add milk.
