A.C. Perch’s teabags are made from cornstarch and are 100% biodegradable and compostable. The tea bag you brew your tea with does not contain plastic! The string is not glued to the bag, but heat treated on. The packaging around the tea bag is currently undergoing a transition to Natureflex, which is also biodegradable and plastic-free. We are also a member of the Ethical Tea Partnership, which ensures that the tea comes from sustainable plantations.
